This 3-day class will get you started with the basics of relief woodcarving that is often seen in the decorative details of furniture. Mary will teach you how to sharpen gouges to a razor sharp edge and will walk you through several different relief-carving projects, each progressively building your woodcarving skills. This class is focused on beginning woodcarving, but experienced carvers are welcome to join, as Mary can help you through more challenging projects.
