Build Two “Rafter Tail” Tables with Darrell Peart
Daryl’s “Rafter Tail” Tables combine classic Greene & Greene features along with an extra measure of Asian influences. They would be well placed in a contemporary setting just as well as in an Arts & Crafts environment.
In this unique five-day class, students will build two mahogany (or sapelle) rafter tail tables. You can choose top build one end table and one coffee table, or both can be coffee tables or both can be end tables. Wooden tops will be made in class but the design lends itself nicely to tops of other materials such as glass or slate. Check Daryl’s website http://furnituremaker.com/portfolio-item/rafter-tail-table/ for some of the variations he has made on the basic design. (Note- only wood tops will be provided in the class.)
Although the parts for the 2nd table should be cut out and ready to assemble – it is likely to not be finished in class.
This is a truly unique project and Darrell Peart is one of this county’s leading furniture designers and is an authority on Greene & Greene furniture styles. Sign up today– space is limited and this class will sell out soon.
