Mary May has been carving wood for more than 30 years. 

She had opportunities to study with several master carvers from around the world and has focused on learning the classic styles of traditional hand carving. 

Mary has a workshop in Charleston, SC, where she works on commissioned pieces for architectural details, period furniture, and sculptures. She teaches beginning and advanced carving workshops at a variety of schools throughout the country, as well as in her workshop.
