Make an Arts & Crafts Style Cabinet with Mike Pekovich
This cabinet packs a whole lot of Arts and Crafts in a small package. This 6 day class features a great project which is useful as an end table or nightstand. It is a scaled-down version of Mike’s display case which was featured on the cover of Fine Woodworking magazine. This project packs all of the lessons of the larger case in an easy-to-manage size.
It’s a great exercise is solid wood case construction and working with 1/4 sawn white oak. We will start the week by tackling the through-tenon joinery which is an icon feature of Arts and Crafts furniture. Then we’ll follow up with great lessons on making and fitting drawers, and building doors with a built-in rabbet for glass panels. Finally, we'll break out the glasscutters and soldering irons and make the leaded glass panel as well. This is a great opportunity to learn from one of the best furniture makers– and instructors– around! Don’t miss it! Tuition: $945.00 plus materials
