COVID-19 PANDEMIC & CVSW
I am happy to announce that classes successfully re-commenced on July 6, 2020.
The following new protocols have been put in place and we are following them carefully.
Face masks are required at all times.
Hands washed each time you return to the shop- regardless of where you went. The bathrooms were completely renovated during the shut down!
Every other bench is left free- Minimum 6 feet between occupied benches
A forehead reading thermometer will be used at the beginning of each class meeting.
8 students limit for each class
All tools you use stay on your bench throughout the class. If any tools are returned to the school tool cabinet they are sanitiezed first
Common machines/ tools sanitized end of day
Lunch- either at your bench, in your car or outside- picnic benches- 2 people per picnic bench max- I have some folding tables/ chairs that can also be used. The local fast food places (Wendy’s, Subway, etc- are open for takeout).
It would be a good idea if you each brought sanitizing wipes & hand sanitizer- please use them often- Use them before using communal equipment.
The state of Connecticut has restricted travel from a number of states (22 as of July 14). If you are coming from one of the states on the list then I am sorry but you must withdraw from the class

If at any time during the class you feel that you are showing signs of COVID- 19 infection (cough, temperature, fatigue, muscle aches, shortness of breath, etc), please drop out of the class immediately. Thanks for your understanding.
We are taking this pandemic VERY seriously. If you feel that you cannot follow the above protocols then I request that you wait until they are lifted before coming to CVSW
I wish you and your families all the best during this difficult situation and I look forward to seeing you all here soon.
